    After a reasonably tough hill climb of 40–50 minutes, we reach a beautiful, unrestored stretch of Great Wall. The hike continues along the wall, passing through towers, finishing in a rustic village.

    Walled Village to Huanghuacheng Great Wall

    Level 3+  ¥430 / 7:30am from Liangmaqiao, 8:00am from Lido
    Walk through chestnut orchards to find a dirt trail that climbs up to the unrestored wall; follow the wall through unrestored and restored sections, making a big climb up to a lookout point high on a ridge. If you're not good with heights, there's a short section of this hike you won't like very much!

    Hemp Village to Jinshanling Great Wall East

    Hike the hill trails behind Hemp Village to reach the Great Wall, first following a narrow trail beside the wall and then passing through an archway to get up on the unrestored end of the Jinshanling Great Wall, a restored stretch with many intact and closely-spaced towers. Some sections slippery and steep.
