How Difficult Are The Hikes?

The hikes vary in difficulty, but are for the most part fine for casual hikers. We try to make the descriptions accurate, but we have many different hikes and they're all slightly different. Weather and trail conditions can also have an effect, and because we visit some of the trails once yearly, we sometimes arrive to find that the trail is more or less difficult than the last time we visited. Please give us a call or if you would like to check if a hike will be suitable for your level of fitness. As a basic guide, we rate the difficulty of our hikes from 1 to 5 - Level 1 is the easiest, Level 5 is most difficult. Please click through to read more detailed descriptions.

Hiking (as well as negotiating Beijing traffic!) can be a dangerous activity, and we must emphasise that you come hiking with us at your own risk.

By following our guidelines you will make it easier for us to look after everyone on the hike - please click through to read them.
