Hiking photos - Big Black Mountain, 2009/12/12
The Big Black Mountain hike is a scenic countryside walk that starts to the north of Big Black Mountain and finishes at an ancient walled village close by to the Huanghuacheng Great Wall. On this visit we had a short climb on a different section of Great Wall, and stopped by Huanghuacheng for a nice lunch after visiting the Walled Village.
We started off with a walk through fields and orchards.
After descending the ridge we could see the Great Wall in the distance.
We followed a dried stream bed for a while before heading for another village.
This paved path led to a small section of Great Wall.
