Hiking photos - Gubeikou and Jinshanling, 2010/11/13
Our Gubeikou to Jinshanling hike is a moderately tough trek that takes in a long stretch of Great Wall along the border of Beijing and Hebei Province. On this visit in November, 2010, we enjoyed amazingly clear weather. From Gubeikou we could see easily see details of the towers of Simatai, some 20 kilometers in the distance.
We'd left our camera at home (or it might have been on a scouting trip in another province), but some of our hikers came to the rescue and supplied some great shots from the hike! Many thanks to Aimin, Allan, Betsy, Chase, and Ricky for the photos below.
