Hiking photos - Huangyaguan Great Wall, 2009/11/18
Huangyaguan Great Wall is located near the border of Tianjin and Beijing's Pinggu District, and is about as far away from the city as you can get on a day trip. As well as travelling a long way from the city, we visited on a Wednesday - this meant there were not many people about, and with the clear (but cold!) weather this was a very nice day out. (We didn't take the GPS with us, so no statistics for this one, sorry!)
Arched bridge of the town.
A very narrow entrance to the wall.
View of the wall on the ridges.
Spurs of the mountain range.
The Great Wall at Huangyaguan leads off into the hills.
Up on the wall.
Carefully crossing a swingbridge.
Stairs to a temple on the hillside.

Autumn colours (Dahaituo Mountain, Hebei).
