Triangle Hike
We’ll begin our walk at a small village in Changping County, following a trail on a steady uphill climb until we reach a pass on the ridge. Close by to the pass is a local landmark - a big pine tree that locals say was the site of some battles. There was also a temple in the area, but all that is left now is the flat area that it stood on. From the pine tree lookout we can see a stretch of Great Wall, and also a broad view of the surrounding terrain.
After crossing the ridge we will head for a stream and follow it downstream, eventually arriving at a bridge.
The starting point of this hike is higher than the finish, so we’ll be walking downhill more than we will be walking uphill.
We’ll eat a late lunch at a local restaurant after we finish the hike. The cost of the food and drinks is included in the price of the hike.
