Beijing Hikers in Lonely Planet China, 2017

Beijing Hikers was recommended in the Lonely Planet China Guide, 2017.

Beijing Hikers was listed in the Lonely Planet China guide’s 2017 edition as a “long-established outfit that organizes some breathtaking hikes out of town on weekends, with a focus on the Great Wall.”

(We do hikes during the week as well.)

The “Visiting the Wall” section also mentions that tours run by “specialist tour companies are far preferable to those run by ordinary hotel or general travel companies, as they tend to cater more to the needs of adventurous Western travellers and don't come with any hidden extras, such as a side trip to the Ming Tombs (a common add-on) or a tiresome diversion to a gem factory or traditional Chinese medicine centre.”

A good point, also. In case you're curious, we don't make any surprise shopping trips on our hikes.

Thanks, Lonely Planet!
