Great Wall hike + foot massage combo
Hike the rough and unrepaired Great Wall at Stone Valley; finish the day with a foot reflexology massage at Bodhi Therapeutic Retreat, back in Beijing city.
We’ve been going to Bodhi Therapeutic Retreat for foot and body massages for many years now, and we’re super happy to team up with Bodhi for this hike + foot massage combo. Trust us—a foot massage after a hike feels amazing!
We’ll be collecting payment in advance for this hike using Wechat or Alipay. We’ll supply payment information after you make the reservation. (If you can’t do Wechat or Alipay payments please make a note with your booking and we’ll figure it out.)
The hike
On this hike we start and finish at Stone Valley village, hiking up to the line of wall on a nearby ridge.
The first quarter of the hike features two hill climbs, and then we’re up on unrepaired Ming Dynasty Great Wall.
We follow the wall up to the General’s Tower – the tallest on this line of wall – and then follow it down the other side, passing some superb spots for photos along the way.
The hike finishes with an easy walk out down a valley.

The meal after the hike
After the hike we’ll head to a guesthouse for a meal of countryside cooking, accompanied by cold beer and soft drinks. You’ve earned a beer … and you’ve also earned a foot massage!
The foot reflexology massage
After dinner we’ll drive you to Bodhi Therapeutic Retreat, back in Beijing. On arrival at Bodhi, you’ll be assigned a masseur and be shown to your room for a 45-minute foot reflexology massage. Part of the package at Bodhi includes light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
Bodhi provides a variety of massages including aromatherapy, hot stone, ayurvedic, Thai massage, foot reflexology, Chinese body massage and spa packages. Find out more at http://www.bodhi.com.cn
