The Gubeikou to Jinshanling Great Wall hike can be easily done in one day, but it’s also fun to take it more slowly. We took two days to do it, camping overnight at a nice spot right beside the Great Wall.
On the first day we hiked the Gubeikou Great Wall – up and down the wall, and then down a long, leafy valley.
We’d had our camping equipment delivered to the nearest little settlement, and after a bit of a rest there we headed up to our camping spot.
The next day we hiked on to the Jinshanling Great Wall, a restored section with amazing views.
