On Christmas Day we hiked the Great Wall from Jiankou to Mutianyu, finishing up with a big meal followed by our dumpling-making contest.
It was cold but not too chilly, and we soon warmed up on the big climb up to the Great Wall at Jiankou.

This is the peak of the Mutianyu Great Wall. The wall over at Jiankou was higher up, but most Mutianyu visitors don't get that far.

Before the dumpling-making competition we had to learn how to make dumplings properly. The chef is demonstrating.
