The Great Wall Spur is our name for a unrestored section of Great Wall that is not often visited by others - probably because of the long and tough climb to reach it.
For those that dare, the rewards are super views of a solid stretch of Ming Dynasty Great Wall with some big towers, as well as the panoramas of mountains and more wall all around.
On this visit we had beautiful blue skies and cool temperatures - perfect weather for a hike.
The hike started off with a stroll through the village.
