Gubeikou Great Wall Loop, 2013/12/21
Photos from our Gubeikou Great Wall hike, and the post-hike dumpling-making competition.
The Gubeikou Great Wall loop is a hike that starts from a rustic village and follows an unrestored and relatively easy section of Great Wall to finish not far from the starting point, just on the border of Beijing and Hebei Province.
We schedule this hike regularly because of the attractive views, with the trail following the wild Great Wall as it winds through the hills.
Because it was almost Christmas we added a special dumpling-making competition, with some prizes like Beijing Hikers books and vouchers to give a way – great fun!
