On a clear day, the views from the top of Heituo Mountain (1,530m) are amazing—you're looking down on the entire Jiankou Great Wall, and you can easily see all the way back to Beijing's CBD.

The first part of the trail was still flooded from all the summer rain.Mushroom season.
