Starting out from the car park.
Out of the car park and into the orchards.
For the first part of the hike we followed field tracks and paths through chestnut orchards and pines.

We took a short break to take off a few layers.

The ‘High Rise’ part is a long climb up an old mining track.

Great views from here on a clear day … unfortunately it wasn't a clear day. The grey skies made us think we might get a little snow.
Continuing up the track, heading for the peak in the background.
We stopped for a lunch break on a sunny ridge.
About to start hiking around the side of the peak.
Hours later, we ended up at the Longquanyu Great Wall.

You could call this a high rise as well—we needed to climb all the way up to finish.
