Longquanyu Great Wall to the Little West Lake, 2016/05/04
Photos of a spring hike on the recently restored section of Longquanyu Great Wall.
We started off on this hike on a bright and sunny day in the spring. We like this hike because most of it is on the Great Wall.
From the start of the hike we walked a couple of minutes and we were on the wall. We followed the wall up and down stairs and we rested in the shade of the towers. The views were fantastic and we made sure that we enjoyed them.
When we reached our final tower on the renovated section we left the wall and walked through terraced chestnut orchards. From the orchards we made our way onto the wild wall. The wild wall was just beginning to become overgrown so we did not get too scratched up by the vegetation. We continued hiking on the wall until the wall dead ends near a creek.
After we left the wall we walked along the shores of Little West lake and a trail that led over a dam and into the car park.
