Heading down a rough path in a valley. Stone Gate Mountain Camp hike, 2020/08/15 We did the longer version of the Stone Gate Mountain Camp hike on a misty and humid day—see 16 photos from the valleys and tops. Were you on this trip? We'd love to hear from you. • Send us feedback • Review it on TripAdvisor • Share this page on Facebook The ford at the beginning of the hike was running high due to recent rains. Higher up from the river valley. Getting near the top ridge. Rocks and crags. This rock outcrop was a good lookout point. We continued down a rough path. The valley narrowed. One of the big peaks. The waterfall was flowing nicely after recent rain. A carving in a cliff face. The ‘Stone Gate’, a natural arch in the rocks. Clouds coming in. Almost at the end of the hike.
