Switchback Great Wall Camping, 2016/03/26
Photos from our first Great Wall camping trip of 2016.
With the temperatures warming up a little earlier this year we thought it was time to start our camping trips again.
The temperatures dipped in the week before the trip, and we were a little concerned it was going to be freezing up on the wall.
We took extra gear just in case!
It did work out to be cold, but not really that cold – we all had a great time, and the views at dusk and dawn were especially awesome.

We hiked up the Great Wall to the campsite.

After everything was packed up and cleared we continued the hike along the wall.

The hike took us up on to a recently repaired part of the Great Wall.

Steep stairs.

We left the wall at this big tower.

We hiked out to a little village.
