Vulture Rock Ridge loop hike, 2018/08/04
See 25 photos from a hot and humid hike along Vulture Rock Ridge, including shots of the abundant wildflowers and mushrooms.
Mist and low clouds kept us from seeing any long views on this hike, but also kept us cool (well, relatively cooler) on the big hill climbs.
That was okay, as the close-up views were good, too. All kinds of wildflowers were in bloom, and there were a lot of mushrooms to spot as well.
At various points on the hike we were warned by other hikers about imminent danger—some had been given a fright by a wild pig, and others had seen snakes. We spotted a little snake, but the pig must have headed on before we arrived.
