Zhangye Danxia Landform and Jiayuguan Fortress, 2015/05
Photos from a five-day trip through Gansu, featuring the Zhangye Danxia Landform and the Jiayuguan Fortress.

The Zhangye Danxia Landform is deservedly famous for its amazing colours, and there’s a lot more to see in the area - Silk Road sights, temples, fortresses, and more!
Our five-day trip focuses on the fortress at Jiayuguan, the temples and grottoes in and around Zhangye city, and (of course!) the multi-coloured mountains of the Zhangye Danxia Landform.
The photos below are from our May 2015 visit.
