We call this hike 'The Hidden Village' because it takes us past an abandoned village located in a valley surrounded by mountains, accessible only by a 40-50 minute walk.

After taking a look about the abandoned houses we hiked on, passing through a forest conservation project on the way up to a special spot high on the ridgeline, arriving just in time for lunch.

From there, we followed a hill trail down the other side. At many points the trail had turned into a small stream, with the water dumped by Beijing's big storm slowly trickling down the hills.
