Longevity Village to the Ming Tombs (Route Two), 2018/03/24
Sixteen photos from a fun ramble through the Huairou hills that passed by abandoned villages, wildcat mines, and one of the Ming Tombs.

Starting off at Longevity Village.

Heading for the first hill.

Near the beekeepers house in the mines area.

We stopped for a look.

The road up to the beekeepers house was quarried away.

We hiked out through the quarry.

No bees in the hive yet.

Down through the quarry.

Further down, around the corner and up a long rise, we stopped for a lunch break.

We found a table for the picnic.

Lovely blue skies.

On to the second hill.

Behind the second hill was a wild valley, where we found abandoned villages.

About to start the third hill.

In a shaded valley we found wall-to-wall ice.

The hike finished by De Tomb.
