Where To Meet

Finding the Meeting Place

The main meeting place for our hikes is outside of the Starbucks at the Lido Holiday Inn, which is located a little bit outside the north-east 4th Ring Road. We offer a second pickup point at the Liangmaqiao subway station for the Saturday and Sunday hikes. More information about the subway station pickup can be found below the Lido maps.

Main meeting point: Lido Place Starbucks

The Lido Holiday Inn is a major hotel in Beijing, and most taxi drivers will be familiar with it - to avoid confusion you could show them a printout of this page.

The Starbucks store is by the south-east entrance of the hotel. Also at the south-east entrance is the ‘Lido Place,’ the fountain, and Nick's Mart. If you end up at the hotel lobby you can get to the south-east entrance by following the main corridor through the hotel building.

Make sure you don't go to the Starbucks by the Jenny Lou's!

Subway drop-off and pick-up

Drop-off
We will bring you back to the Lido Hotel after the hike. From the Lido Hotel the bus will continue to the Liangmaqiao subway station and make a second stop for people who want to get the subway. The Liangmaqiao station is on Line 10. (click for a Google map of Liangmaqiao area).

Pick-up
When possible we will also be able to pick you up from the Liangmaqiao subway station on the morning of the hike.

Please note:

• This pickup is not always available. Because the traffic is too heavy on weekdays we can't pick people up from Liangmaqiao for the Wednesday hikes. Please check with us about availability.
• The bus will only wait at Liangmaqiao until 8:05am. This is because the bus needs enough time to get to our main meeting point at Lido. If you miss the 8am pickup there should still be time for you to get a taxi to the Lido and arrive before 8:30am. Normally we'll use a silver bus with the license plate 京B04806.
• The pickup times above are based on an 8:30am departure from Lido. The Liangmaqiao pickup will usually be 30 minutes before the Lido departure time

The pickup point is 50-60m north of the north-east corner of the Yansha Qiao intersection, on the east side of the road, a little way past the public toilets. The closest exit from the subway is Exit B.
