Hiking photos - Baihuashan and Lingshan Overnight, 2010/08/28-29
In August 2010 we did an overnight hike in the mountains on the border of Beijing Municipality and Hebei Province, climbing to the peak of the highest mountain in Beijing on the second day.
On the first day, we hiked in the high meadows of the Baihua Mountain Nature Conservation Reserve; on the second day, we hiked up to the 2,303m peak of Lingshan.

Renting a horse to ride was an option on the second day of the hike.
Horses were one of the many kinds of animal that we saw on Lingshan.
