Longquanyu Hike, 2014/01/25
Photos of the ice we walked over in a valley in Longquanyu.
On this hike we went out to Changping District to hike a stretch of Great Wall near Longquanyu.
After we’d finished on the wall, we turned up a valley to follow the trail that would lead us to the end of the hike.
We found that the small stream that usually runs down the valley had frozen into a river of ice – a bit tricky to cross at a few points!
We made it out without worries and finished our hike in style with some cold beers and snacks.

The trail took us up the valley, along the frozen stream.

Further upstream we found a nicely decorated house.
