Hiking photos – Switchback Great Wall, 2012/03/03
After a fall of snow the day before, we were unsure if we’d be able to do this hike. Our local contacts said all was ok – the snow was not so deep in that area – so we headed out for a day of tricky hiking on the Great Wall in the snow.
The Switchback Great Wall is a tricky hike on a good day, and the snow on the ground made some sections quite slippery.
The views made all the effort very worthwhile, though: trees covered with snow crystals, and the wild wall winding through the snowy landscape.
